OUR
APPROACH

VISUAL
THERAPY

our_services

Our approach to Vision is a bit more than the average eye exam.  The way one uses his/her eyes is the way a person "sees" themselves in the world around them.

One of the reasons that our office is so successful in helping people is because we test. Testing helps us understand why someone is getting headaches, having trouble after a stroke or head injury,  seeing double vision or not using one eye (Amblyopia).

Through (VT) Visual Therapy, and in working directly with the doctor, we can minimize the issues an individual is facing. Our office is able to be interactive in working towards.

Our objective is rehabilitating and alleviating these symptoms for you to reach your goal.

Vision is more than 20/20 eyesight; it is how we develop, how we grow.

ABOUT
OUR OFFICE

Patients who have had a head injury (TBI, concussion, stroke) will display a wide spectrum of visual symptoms, ranging from headaches, possible double vision, balance issues, and comprehension problems. By approaching the underlying visual problem instead of treating the symptoms, we have a better chance of rectifying the problem once and for all with less of a chance that the symptoms persist or come back over time.

Vision is more than seeing an object clearly. It is the ability to gather information coming in through the eyes and match this information with previous experiences gained from all other senses and process this new system of information into meaningful concepts. Many children who have been labeled poor learners, developmental delays, autistic, hyperactive, and attention deficit, have difficulty gathering and processing information that enters through the visual system.  Many adults who have suffered a head injury will have difficulties with many tasks. Many avenues of therapy are available, including lenses, prisms, and training, yet the initial line of defense is diagnosis.
